Hello, I am Gary Rink.  Welcome to TheMortgage Station and the Verico network of mortgage services.  My goal is for you to do amazing in your mortgage and financial planning.

What does a mortgage broker/agent do?  We find a lender that will supply funds for various purposes.  That lender could be a credit union, big or small bank, trust company, insurance company, or private lender.  The purposes could be:

      1. Primary home purchase,

      2. Mortgage renewal and refinance,

      3. Investment property

      4. Cottage, second home

      5. Builder construction

      6. Second mortgage

      7. Debt consolidation

What I like most about being a mortgage agent is that I get to help you save money and empower you in your mortgage decisions, rather than you being unsure, pressured, or being without options.  I want you to feel that you made a good decision on your mortgage.  Financial advisors help us with smaller amounts of money than our mortgages; mortgage agents help on larger amounts!  Ask for advice.  In case you don't know, using a mortgage agent does not cost you, the lender pays the agent. 

There are many mortgage lenders and products. Can you investigate them all?  You can, given the time, but most of us don’t have that time.  And much of it can be confusing, requiring more time.  I am not alone at TheMortgage Station, there is an incredible amount of knowledge, experience, and lender contact on-hand to help find the best options and advise on the best one.  Part of that process is to “Know Your Client” like many financial advisors do, and give options accordingly. 

If you are staying in one location for a long time, have steady income, good credit and low debt, then you are AAA and your needs are primarily lowest rate.  And everybody wants your business.  If you think your situation is “complicated”, there are mortgages available at good rates.  But what about HELOC’s, private lending, and many other products?  We can spend time exploring all the options in detail, or you can have the goods upfront and then get on with your day.
