I am writing this letter to you today to express my gratitude for you recently saving a home purchase transition that was in peril from what appears to be a failure by a mortgage broker of another company with whom my client wished to use that I had no previous experience with.
With only "days" until possession after over one month of a final offer on my clients purchase, we found that the previous mortgage broker had not met with my client to sign the mortgage commitment letter and upon bringing this to your attention on the evening of May 27th you were able to obtain new financing on May 31st which considering you had no information on the client was an amazing feat!

This is my story of 2 amazing people that went ABOVE and BEYOND - Jeff Stern and Ed LeBlanc
I wanted to move the south end of the city, so my first step was to get pre- approved. I went to a mortgage broker and I was pre-approved for an amount far beyond what I wanted to spend.
Everything was going great. I found my dream house, my offer was accepted and I started packing to move. The story gets interesting 2 weeks before my possession when my lawyer calls and says he cannot get in touch with the mortgage broker. When we finally do, the broker says we have issues that must be resolved in 12 days. None of these stipulations were in the original agreement when he pre-approved me.
I called Jeff Stern, my real estate agent, and told him what was happening. He immediately acted and told me he contacted Ed LeBlanc - amazing! I spoke to Ed LeBlanc and he told me to fill out the pre -approval online and gave me his e-mail address. I contacted my lawyer to let them know what was happening. The lawyer told me all the documentation and approval must be completed by Thursday as possession was Saturday. That gave Ed LeBlanc 5 days to process my paperwork, and get me approved by a lender. (If you have bought a home before you know this is next to impossible!) I found all the information Ed needed and met with him. That left only 4 days to get me approved. Ed said he would get it done and he DID!! 2 days later he had me approved and the paperwork was on its way to the lawyer. I was amazed again!!! I was relieved!
Through all the incredible efforts of Jeff Stern and Ed LeBlanc, they turned a very difficult, stressful situation into a dream come true. I cannot find the words to THANK both individuals enough for the focus, professional job, more than timely responses and total commitment to do the best for their clients.
This letter goes out to all the people buying or selling a home - please do your home work in advance. Check and double check, ask questions of anyone involved with finances and your life. Moving is a big decision and it should be a very happy time. Not a nightmare
